has spent about 15 years in the field of Quality Management and Occupational Health & Safety in heavy manufacturing and service environments. She is an active member of American Society of Quality which she joined in 2004. Natella has been certified as a Quality Auditor, ISO 9000 Series Lead auditor (IRCA) and as a Manager of Quality and Organizational Excellence with ASQ.
Originally from Azerbaijan, she holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in International Journalism from Baku State University as well as a Law Degree from Moscow State Social University. She has worked as a staff writer and analyst for a number of newspapers covering larger scale societal and economic issues faced by her then newly independent country. In the late 1990s Natella was shortlisted among the finalists from Azerbaijan who were awarded a highly competitive prestigious graduate fellowship from the U.S. Department of State. It was around that time that Natella made her life altering move across the ocean to join the Master’s of Public Administration program with the University of Nebraska, Omaha. After successfully graduating from the program in two years with concentration in General Management, she moved to Southern California and continued her professional career in automotive and service industries.
After experiencing life in quite a few diverse places, Natella has found her home in Beautiful British Columbia and for the past 10 years has been working as a Quality and Safety manager for a world class design and manufacturing company in Greater Vancouver area. She has been a speaker at annual ASQ Vancouver Quality and Business Excellence conferences as well as a Quality Clinic speaker at a few other professional events. She has written a number of articles on the subjects of Quality management, Project management, ISO 9000 family of standards, etc. Her lifelong passion for learning and sharing her knowledge as well as using her problem solving skills have allowed Natella to bring improvements in people’s lives whether professional or personal.
